Technical Editor for Software Topics

We are looking for Technical Content Editors to join our team to edit and proofread 1300 word articles on software creation. You can join our team on a part-time or a full-time freelance basis. Your minimum commitment is 10 hours a week.

At Wizard on Demand, we create technical articles for software companies around the world. We have a client list that includes household names in tech. Wizard on Demand is a 100% remote-only company. We have 10 staff currently based in Europe and North America and we accept applications globally. Your timezone needs to align with our team in Europe (CET).

The work you’ll do

You’ll be working as a content editor for articles that are written on software topics. These articles are written by people with computer science knowledge and are regularly read by developers, product managers, data analysts, and CTOs.

Your job will involve:

  • Development editing/ editing / proofreading 1300-word articles on a regular basis.
  • Nurturing our small team of writers on how to improve standards on a weekly basis and helping develop a more confident and well-honed style of article.
  • Helping the company by having input on style-guides and helping to create. documents and systems to better our team and our content production process.

Writers mostly use Slack, Asana, Zoom, Google Docs, and Excalidraw.

What you need for us to hire you

  • Proven experience as an editor, preferably with some software experience in your life.
  • A positive attitude to learning and growing in a remote-only work setting.
  • An interest in growing as an editor, as well as having a supporting nature towards our writing team.
